Cedar board-to-board fence with an arched black iron double gate hung between capped cedar columns

How a gate should hang

Every gate swings on three hinges off a 6x6 post.

A gate is the most used, most stressed part of a fence, and it is where cheap fences fail first. Ours hinge from 6-inch by 6-inch posts, hang on three hinges instead of two, and fasten with 4-inch screws instead of the 2-inch ones that come in the kit. Metal frames are there when a gate needs them.

“This is the 4th time I’ve chosen them to do fence work for our home, I wouldn’t use anyone else.”

“They just finished our backyard, horizontal style wood fence with two gates and did an awesome job! They are professional, very hard workers. Showed up on time and left our yard spotless. Alan was delightful to work with. He listens to you. Gives you options and explains the whole process.”

Carol Hill · Google, 5 stars

“They not only built us one the prettiest fences I have ever seen, but they went into detail exactly how to keep it looking its best for years to come. We have a pretty steep hill on one side of the house and they made it look amazing.”

Before the first post goes in

What happens between the estimate and the last board.

  1. Price it

Book a free on-site estimate, or open the Instant Quote tool at privacyfence.mybudgetquote.com, draw your fence on a satellite map of your yard and see a price on the spot.

  2. Permit and pins

Once the job is awarded we handle the permit, check easements and setbacks, and help find property pins. If the line is unclear, we will recommend a survey first.

  3. Call 811

Arkansas 811 (ARUPS) marks the underground utilities before a single hole is dug. Every job, no exceptions.

  4. Build on site

Posts go 24 to 36 inches deep and the fence is built board by board to follow your ground. Most residential fences take one to two days.

  5. Haul it off

The old fence goes back to our facility and on to a Class 4 construction landfill. We never burn it. Then your one-year workmanship warranty starts.

Straight answers

What people ask before they call.

All fence questions

Pricing depends on the material, the style, the total length, the number and style of gates, and whether an old fence has to come out first. We offer straightforward, honest pricing with no hidden fees, but every yard is different, so we do not publish set prices. A free estimate, in person or through the online design tool, gives you a real number.

We prefer to see the project in person before giving you a number. Terrain, access and existing structures all change the cost, and an on-site estimate means the price we quote is one we can stand behind. There is no charge for the visit.

Yes. Once your project is awarded we handle the whole permit process. It saves you the hassle, and it tells us the exact easements and setbacks for your property. If the boundaries are unclear we may recommend a survey before we break ground.

Yes. Before any digging we contact Arkansas 811 (ARUPS) to have underground utilities marked. It is a standard part of every job.

Sloped yards are common in Northwest Arkansas. We build every fence custom on site rather than using pre-fabricated panels, so the fence follows the lay of the land without the big gaps at the bottom that panels leave. Horizontal styles are harder to execute on steep slopes, and we will say so at the estimate.

Most residential fences are done in one to two days. Larger projects, tricky terrain and weather can add time, and we give you a realistic timeframe at the estimate. You do not need to be home as long as we have access and the gate locations are confirmed.
